Beyond Bike Path's tour
Hey bikers: I was contacted by Sharon who's looking for some folks to do a bike/park demo at an upcoming event. Here's the details:
Bikers needed for demo on Sunday, June 21st - sometime between 1 and 5 p.m., during Boulder's inaugural Beyond Bike Path's tour.
Looking for someone to coordinate riders and demo format. Contact Sharon at cutler36 [at] msn [dot] com
Contact Sharon at the email above if you're interested.
Winter Sun
Met a guy named Al and this guy at the park last weekend during a mid-winter heatwave. It was a beautiful weekend and a nice break from the cold.
Havent been skating much since winter set in but it was good to get out and get the legs working again. It was great seeing a few skating buds (Chris, Bill) taking advantage of the warm weather.
Can't wait for spring...meanwhile, nice frontside bro!

Opening day at Ned
Opening day at Ned was windy but full of stoke. A whole bunch of the BSP crew (Austin, Kieran, Ric, Dakota, Tony, and others) made the trek and helped break in the new park. Lots of sick skills on display at a new park that no one's been able to practice at (or have they?)
Met a dude from the bay area who was shredding. Met another dude named Joel who was popping airs in the big bowl. Ric was ripping as usual: caught a few of him inverted in the walnut.
Ned's park is steep and deep so be sure to bring your gear and protect your domes!

The Day After
The day after Halloween was sweet. Minimal people at the park this morning. I went to bed at 8:30PM last night and despite being well rested my body just wasn't feeling it today. No bails tho--so I was able to come home without any new skidmarks. W00t!
Met a kid named David and have posted a few pics of him in the gallery. Cool kid and nice back side airs at or above coping. Blast 'em little homey!
Also met a guy named Tim Magee who shoots for Crawl Magazine: check out his site. He's got a nice clean style and it looks like he's done lot's of commercial work. Definitely an inspiration.
Halloween Havok 2008
Here's some vid from Halloween Havok 2008:
I skated that morning but had to bail early. I'm bummed I missed the party--would have been cool to grab some frames of all the great talent out there. Oh well, next year...
Great Session
Had a great session at the park today and met some great people. Shouts to Austin, Kieran (busting airs with a bagel), Isiah and Andrew (these guys are 9 years old).
My knee was feeling OK today but I was still favoring it and wimping out on the landings. Hung with Chris and Bill in the mini bowl for a while: got some tips from a grom about how to pull a few stalls. Nothing like a 9 year old giving tips to a 40 year old...
Also met a guy named Derrick who runs CoSkate.com. Nice site bro. Makes me feel like I need to devote some time to improving the design of this site. So many things to do, so little time...
Injuries
Nothing like an injury to ruin the last days of summer/fall/whatever. I totally ganked my knee landing an air during lunch last Thursday and am debating a trip to the doc. Ever hear a crunching sound when your leg gets bent the wrong way? It doesn't sound cool, that's for sure. Now I'm gimping while the sun is out and dreading I'll be out for a few weeks. Doh.
I finally met this guy named Chris who's the sickest skater I've seen at the park. The guy's got velcro for feet because his board sticks to him like glue. I saw him roll in over that quarter with no coping and pop a 4-5 foot backside into the adjacent bowl a few weeks ago: fucking sweet. That's the kind of skater I want to be: lip tricks and airs. Anyways, that dude Chris has got mad style and is really fun to watch. Need to take some pics of that guy...
Rained Out
Bummer--I was really stoked to skate on Sunday but got rained out. Normally I wouldn't really care, but I didn't have a good time out on Saturday and was hoping to make up for it Sunday.
I guess Sunday wasn't all bad though. At least the Raiders won...a rare event indeed.
Coming Along...
In between work, play, and other responsibilities I've been working on the templates and styles for this site. It's coming along but I still haven't had the time to really sit down and grind it out. I'm also planning to add a JQuery carosel image rotator in the Recent Images section at the top as well. I'm also planning to add more functionality, links to other sites, etc. I'f anyone has any web design experience I'm looking for some creative ideas for the look and feel of the site.
Coming soon...
Just registered the domain and will start building the site soon.
thx, ppmax
